To measure the fit of a pair of jeans, button it up and lay it flat. Since sizes vary by company, it's best to compare measurements to a similar article of clothing you already own.
Keep in mind that there are industry tolerances, and our products are cut and sewn by hand, making exact numbers impossible to achieve. The standard industry tolerance ranges from 0" to +/- 1/2".
WAIST (A)
Button the jeans and lay them flat on a flat surface. Measure from side to side along the top edge of the jeans. The front and back should be parallel, and the show should not be dipping down. Double this amount to determine the total waist measurement.
FRONT RISE (B)
Measure from the crotch point seam to the top of the waistband.
THIGH (C)
Measure 1" down from the crotch point seam straight across the leg. Double this amount to determine the thigh measurement.
KNEE (D)
Measure 13" down from the crotch point. Measure straight across the edge to edge. Double this amount to determine the knee measurement.
INSEAM (E)
Measure from the crotch point, where the leg inseam meets the bottom of the crotch seam, to the hem or leg opening, following the seam down.
HEM (F)
Measure straight across the opening from side to side along the bottom edge. Double this amount to determine the total measurements.
BACK RISE (G)
Measure from the crotch point seam to the top of the waistband.
